High-Fidelity Multiphysics Modeling of Nuclear Microreactor

Commercial nuclear power plants require an immense initial investment for construction. Nuclear microreactors seek to increase the economic viability of nuclear power by decreasing the up front costs and increasing the versatility. This talk will present an overview of nuclear microreactor design strategies as well as some high-fidelity modeling techniques that can be used to model these novel reactors.

Dean Price, Ph.D. candidate in Nuclear Engineering and Radiological Science and Scientific Computing

Dean is a 4th year graduate student in the Department of Nuclear Engineering and Radiological science. He is part of the Nuclear Reactor Analysis and Methods group and plans on graduating in May!
