Data-Driven Computational Physics

Karthik Duraisamy, Assistant Professor, Aerospace Engineering
October 2015

This workshop was the launch of our coordinated efforts in data-driven computational physics, which is a thrust area of MICDE. The workshop kicked-off the NSF-MRI project for ConFlux, the new computer hardware and software ecosystem that will enable large scale data-driven modeling of multiscale physical phenomena. Matthew Plumlee, IOE, talked about his work on methods for experimentation and uncertainty quantification for complex systems, with potential relevance to data-driven computational physics and the ConFlux paradigm
