Portrait of Diana Karosas

Background

The Neural Engineering in Epilepsy Lab leverages computational modeling and data science to better understand and control epilepsy. My research utilizes a dynamical model of bursting to study seizures. Right now, I am focused on investigating propagation, suppression, and recruitment. The goals of this work include establishing methods of quantifying seizure recruitment and comparing model predictions to clinical data for model validation.
