Job Description
Prof. Grosch’s Group in the Department of Mechanical Engineering is currently seeking a post-doctoral scholar to work on our NIH-funded cochlear mechanics project. The position involves high-performance, time-domain computations in order to model the fluid-structure interaction in the cochlea including electro-mechanical coupling via the biologically piezoelectric outer hair cells. The candidate should have a PhD in Engineering or a related field (e.g., Biophysics, Mathematics, or Computer Science) with experience Scientific Computing and an interest high performance for nonlinear dynamics simulations.
