Background

Dimitra Panagou is a Professor of Robotics and Aerospace Engineering in the College of Engineering. Her research focuses on the development of theoretical and algorithmic methods in the intersection of control, optimization and learning to solve safety- and time-critical problems for multi-agent systems under constraints and uncertainty. Her group works on nonlinear systems and control, decision making and autonomy, distributed planning and coordination, with applications spanning unmanned aerial systems, robotic networks, and autonomous vehicles across ground, marine, aerial, and space domains. Ongoing projects include control of safety-critical autonomous systems with AI-in-the-loop components, and resilient autonomy for operations in adversarial environments.
