Jacinto Ulloa is an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering in the College of Engineering, where he leads the Mechanics of Solids and Material Systems group. His research focuses on developing mathematical and computational frameworks to describe complex mechanical and physical behaviors across a broad range of materials. A central goal is to advance the next generation of predictive and scalable computational models that incorporate microstructural information, leverage multiscale analysis, and embrace data-driven computing as a modeling paradigm. Applications of this work span diverse engineering and scientific domains, including structural mechanics, architected materials, geomechanics, biomechanics, and energy systems.
